This privacy policy applies to the website and request form operated by our loan request and matching service and to the communications we send. By using the site or submitting a request, you agree to the practices described here. This policy was last reviewed recently and may be updated.
Information we collect
We collect the information you enter on our request form, details about how you use the site, and limited data from third parties that help verify identity, prevent fraud, and match your request to lenders.
Information you provide: name, address, email, phone number, date of birth, Social Security number, driver's license or state ID number, employment and income details, pay schedule, housing status, requested loan amount and purpose, and bank account and routing numbers.
Information collected automatically: IP address, device type, browser, operating system, pages viewed, time on page, referring website, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We collect this through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies.
Information from third parties: identity verification results, fraud scores, and in some cases credit or bank account data provided by consumer reporting agencies or verification partners, along with offer outcomes reported back by lenders.
How we use your information
We use your information to process your loan request, share it with lenders and partners that may make an offer, verify your identity, prevent fraud, provide customer support, improve the site, and meet legal obligations.
We may also use your contact details to send you updates about your request and, where permitted and with your consent, offers for other financial products. You can opt out of marketing at any time, as described below. We do not use your information to make credit decisions, because we do not lend.
How we share your information
We share your request with participating lenders and lending partners so they can review it and make an offer. We also share data with service providers that run our site, and with authorities when the law requires.
- Lenders and partners: each may review your request, pull a credit report, contact you about its offer, and pass your request to its own partners if it cannot help. Their use of your data is governed by their privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.
- Service providers: hosting, analytics, email and text delivery, identity verification, fraud prevention, and customer support vendors that are contractually bound to use data only to serve us.
- Legal and safety: courts, regulators, or law enforcement when required by law, or to protect our rights and users.
- Business transfers: a buyer or successor if our business is sold or merged, subject to this policy.
We do not sell your personal information to unrelated marketers for their own unrelated use. Under some state laws, sharing a request with a lender in exchange for compensation may be described as a sale or sharing; see your rights below.
Cookies and tracking technologies
Cookies and similar tools help us remember your progress on the form, measure site performance, understand which pages help visitors, and show relevant ads on other sites. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
We use strictly necessary cookies, analytics cookies, and advertising cookies from third-party partners. Blocking cookies may stop the request form from saving your progress. Your browser may send a Global Privacy Control signal, which we treat as a request to opt out of sale or sharing for that browser where state law requires. We do not currently respond to other "Do Not Track" signals.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, to access or correct it, to request deletion, to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with consumer privacy laws may exercise these rights by emailing [email protected] or calling (888) 296-0218. We will verify your identity by matching details from your request and respond within the period the law requires, usually 45 days. You may use an authorized agent with written permission.
Financial information that lenders collect and hold is generally covered by the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and each lender provides its own privacy notice explaining your rights under that law. Some state privacy rights may not apply to data covered by that federal law.
Marketing choices: unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message, reply STOP to any text message, or ask our support team to add your number to our internal do-not-call list.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only as long as needed to serve your request, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping rules, which for lending-related records is often several years.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove details that identify you. Information already shared with a lender is kept under that lender's retention policy, so you may need to contact the lender directly to request deletion there.
How we protect your information
We protect your information with TLS encryption in transit, encryption of sensitive fields at rest, access limited to staff who need it, regular security reviews, and contracts requiring partners to safeguard data.
No website or system can be made completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute protection. Please use a private device and network when submitting a request, and contact us right away if you believe your information has been misused. We will never ask for your password or full account number by email or text.
Children's privacy
Our site and request form are intended only for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we delete any such information we discover.
If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact our support team so we can remove it.
